Dr Hitchin is an experienced GP and has been practicing medicine for more than 18 years, including over 8 years in Australia. He feels a connection to Caboolture and enjoys serving the community here.

He also has experience overseas in the UK, US and others. He enjoys all aspects of general practice and has worked in many specialities, including time as an armed forces medical officer.

He has special interests in diagnostic medicine, chronic disease management, infectious diseases and sports medicine amongst others. He tries as best he can to practice holistic medicine. He enjoys caring for veterans and their families. He considers himself a lifelong student and never stops trying to learn something new and is currently completing a masters in Public Health.

He is married with 4 young active kids and enjoys boxing, trying to stay fit and reading. He has had other careers outside of medicine that gives him a well rounded perspective on life.

Dr. Stephen Hitchin bulk bills all patients with a valid Medicare card. However, he is not accepting new patients or anyone that he has not seen as their regular GP in the last 2 years.
